Chicago Dream Center
The Chicago Dream Center, is a non-profit 501c3 organization, this partner provides resources and hosts programs for residential, violence, and other crisis needs in the Chicagoland area. Jada Phillips (jada@chicagodreamcenter.org) will serve as the representative for the Chicago Dream Center.
Garfield Community Service Center
The Garfield Community Service Center has partnered with our Better Together team to offer onsite telehealth visits for those who are ready to start their journey towards recovery. Please stop by our table on the center’s weekly Thursday Wellness Fair.
The Night Ministry
The Night Ministry compassionately provides housing, health care, outreach, spiritual care, and social services to adults and youth who struggle with homelessness, poverty and loneliness. We accept individuals as they are and offer support as they seek to improve their lives. We invite others to join this hope-filled work. Jennifer Merritt (jennifer@thenightministry.org) will serve as the representative for The Night Ministry.
Bobby E. Wright Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center
Bobby E. Wright Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center provides behavioral health, substance use, and developmental disabilities services
for the Westside of Chicago. Brison Blackwell (bblackwell@bewcbhc.org) will serve as the representative for Bobby E. Write Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center.
Community Outreach Intervention Projects (COIP)
The Community Outreach Intervention Projects (“COIP”), School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago was founded in 1986 to address HIV/AIDS, particularly among people who use drugs. COIP operates from storefront sites in Austin, Humboldt Park, West Englewood, South Chicago, and Uptown. Other neighborhoods are served by COIP’s motorhome and mobile van units. COIP’s interventions are known for using the Indigenous Leader Outreach Model, which employs former drug users to deliver services and assist in conducting research. Albert Murphy (amurph20@uic.org) will serve as the representative for COIP.
Rush Substance Use Disorder Center of Excellence (SUD-COE)
The mission of Rush Substance Use Disorder Center of Excellence seeks to reduce stigma, enhance SUD treatment services, address the social determinants of health, and improve SUD outcomes in Chicago’s west and south side communities. Dr. Tanya Sorrell (tanya_sorrell@uic.edu) will serve as the representative for the Rush SUD-COE.
